Description
A full day in the paradise of Klein Curaçao
About 24 kilometers off the coast lies Klein Curaçao, a small uninhabited island known for its extensive white sand beach, crystal-clear waters, reefs, and unforgettable landscapes.
With Mermaid Boat Trips, you will enjoy a full-day excursion that includes sailing, breakfast, a BBQ lunch, soft drinks, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and access to the best facilities available on the island.
Sailing to Klein Curaçao
The adventure begins early at Fisherman’s Pier in Spanish Water. Upon boarding, you will receive coffee or tea while the captain and crew welcome you.
During the sail, you will travel along part of the Curaçao coast and can admire areas such as Fuik, Duivelsklip, and Oostpunt, a natural region difficult to access by land.
The journey to Klein Curaçao takes approximately two hours and, occasionally, dolphins can be spotted along the way. Sightings depend on nature and cannot be guaranteed.
Mermaid’s exclusive beach house
The biggest advantage of Mermaid Boat Trips is its own beach house, exclusive to passengers.
Its large terrace with a palm roof offers a comfortable refuge from the intense Klein Curaçao sun. It also features picnic tables, beach chairs, clean bathrooms, and a freshwater shower.
These facilities make Mermaid an excellent choice for families, couples, and travelers who value having shade, bathrooms, and greater comfort throughout the day.
BBQ breakfast and lunch included
The excursion includes breakfast and a hearty BBQ buffet prepared at the beach house.
Lunch typically includes chicken, ribs, burgers, corn on the cob, various salads, and fruit.
Water, juices, and sodas are also included. Beer and wine can be purchased separately.
Snorkeling and sea turtles
The waters of Klein Curaçao are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Mermaid provides basic snorkeling gear at no additional cost.
You can explore its transparent waters, observe tropical fish, and discover the reef. There is also the possibility of finding sea turtles, although their presence can never be guaranteed.
If you find turtles or other animals, maintain a respectful distance and do not touch, chase, or feed them.
Explore the lighthouse and shipwrecks
During your free time, you can walk to the historic lighthouse located in the center of the island and continue toward the old shipwrecks on the coast.
You can also relax in a beach chair, swim in the sea, snorkel, look for shells, or play volleyball.
At approximately 3:20 PM, all passengers return to the boat to begin the sail back to Curaçao.
